Save The Wild UP
"Sulfide mining, like that of the Yellow Dog mining project, may create potentially irreversible environmental damage to the region and lasting health ailments to area residents." -US Representative Bart Stupak

Andy McFarlane made us aware of this issue and site. Be sure to click and listen to Daisy May's song "A Letter From Downstream." All three of us have paths directly back to the UP. Its preservation is something we value.
N3C On MySpace
Catch us on MySpace. Click on the link and become a "friend." Hey, we're trying to be hip! It's still a work in progress, but it's gradually being fleshed out. Ideas and suggestions are welcomed!
Chris and Susan Skellenger
Chris, long a fixture in the Leelanau County music scene, and his wife, Susan, have thrown their considerable talents and efforts into teaching folks to grow crops for consumption in a few corners of this troubled world. They are trying to smooth the rough edges. This is their mission statement:
"To provide services, equipment, and personnel to organizations that are dedicated to combating poverty in developing countries - especially those teaching sustainable forms of subsistence agriculture to the world's poorest people."
Visit their sight, go to the fundraisers, and, as you take your next bite at dinner, think of how you can help them see this noble mission through!!
Chris and Susan - "Long May You Run!"
Claudia Schmidt
She'll hate us for saying it, but she is an icon! An incomparable performer, if you have a chance to see her, don't miss it!
Robin Lee Berry
A Northern Michigan treasure. Well, not just Michigan. She's a treasure. Period.
Andre Villoch
A good guy with lots of energy. We've never seen a guy who can roll his rrr's like him. Have a little Cuban in your background and you can do anything!
Jay Webber
The one and only, Jay Webber.
Connemara Concerts
Seamus Shinners is a wonderful promoter of local folk music. He brings many marvelous acts through the Traverse City region and is a dear friend to N3C. Thanks Seamus for all you do!!
Quiet Faith Productions
David and Lou are helping to keep, for lack of a better phrase, folk music alive. Really, it's just GOOD music. Songs of the heart and soul. Thanks guys!!
Grand River Folk Arts Society
Keeping folk music alive. They've hosted us a couple of times. It's always nice to visit Grand Rapids! We look forward to a return trip.
The Leland Report
A daily dose of life in the little finger captured by the impeccable Keith Burnham. If you're homesick for the north, just give it a click.
Longview Winery
Their new restaurant, Cedar Rustic Inn, and wine tasting room are located on the north end of Cedar, MI. Al and Linda are wonderful folks and the inspiration for an uncoming song from N3C.
